Adult Education Opportunities

bible.jpgAfter a month of inspiring electives, we will be resuming our regular adult Sunday School classes on March 2nd.
With coffee available in the café, we would like to start at our scheduled time at 9:30 a.m. or shortly thereafter.
We invite you to consider one of these classes between our 8:30 and 11:00 services.

General Information on our Adult Education Program:

Our six adult Sunday school classes meet from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.  We also offer other fellowship opportunities throughout the week and calendar year to meet the needs of our congregation.  Please call the church office (610-644-1995) or contact a deacon for more information.

Challenge

Using lecture format, this class meets in the Chapel and follows the Scripture Press Adult Curriculum.
The class is opened with a hymn and prayer before our Study of Psalms

Questers

The Questers class will be resuming a study of the book of Revelation.  We are using as a study resource Darrell Johnson's book, Discipleship on the Edge.  In his preface, Johnson says that "in no other book of the Bible do we see Jesus as he is right now as clearly and compellingly as we do in the last book".  This is an opportunity to gain not only a greater understanding of Jesus in world history, but fresh insights on how to be a disciple of Jesus.
Please join us in the right (north) classroom of Fellowship Hall for this challenging study.

Shema

This informal class rotates leadership in the weekly lesson format, and meets in the conference room (near Pastor’s Study). We are continuing a study of James.

Sojourners

Several class members share teaching responsibilities. We will be continuing our study of the Key Moments in the Life of David.  We are meeting in the left (south) room of the Fellowship Hall.  Several times a year we meet for fellowship activities, such as game nights, dinners, rafting and bowling.

Koinonia Class

This class explores issues of interest to the young and the young at heart; attendees of any and every age are welcome.
Pastor Stewart leads this lively class in discussing John Ortberg's book "If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat". The video-based presentation will examine the skills essential to "water-walking" in faith with God: discerning God's call, transcending fear, risking faith, managing failure, and trusting God.
The class meets in the Gym.

A New Members Class is offered 3 times a year.  Please This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for dates and details.
