Adult Education Opportunities

Our Adult Education Program:

Regular adult Sunday School classes resume on September 13th. Coffee is available in the café, and classes begin at 9:30 AM or shortly thereafter.
We invite you to attend one of the opportunities described below.

Challenge

We’ll be studying the Gospel according to Luke. The first two lessons will look at John the Baptist. Learn why Jesus said, “I tell you the truth:
among those born there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist.” You are invited to join us at 9:30 in the Chapel.

Questers

Who can read Ephesians without being moved to wonder and worship? It was John Calvin's favorite letter, and many people have come to faith through its message. John Mackay, former president of Princeton Theological Seminary, wrote:“To this book I owe my life.” He explains how at age fourteen while reading Ephesians he experienced a "boyish rapture in the Highland hills... I saw a new world... everything was new. I had a new outlook, new experiences, new attitudes to other people. I loved God. Jesus Christ became the centre of everything ...I had been 'quickened'; I was really alive!" Bob Scott leads us in the Fellowship Hall as we continue to unwrap the amazing blessings that enable us to taste the joys of heaven here on earth!

Sojourners

We’ll be studying the life of Elijah this fall, and several class members share teaching responsibilities. We meet in the left room of the Fellowship Hall. Several times a year we get together for fellowship activities, such as game nights, dinners, rafting and bowling.

Shema

Our informal class meets in the Conference Room next to the church office and rotates leadership. We keep a prayer journal, share needs, and pray together. Please join us at 10AM to help us plan for the coming year.

Koinonia

Is the command to love God with all our heart, soul and mind just another decision of the will, or is it an urging to truly enjoy God and feel pleasure in him? How do we find our delight in Christ, even when the desire is lacking? John Piper’s DVD series, When I Don’t Desire God: How to fight for Joy addresses the question: “How do you get a desire that you don’t have and can’t create? How do you fight for a gift?” Pastor Stewart leads this class in exploring issues of interest to the young and young at heart. We meet in the Gym.

Please call the church office (610-644-1995) or contact a deacon for more information on our Adult Education Program.

A New Members Class is offered 3 times a year. Please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for dates and details.
