“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.” (James 3:17-18)
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3)
Main thoughts: I. God chose us in Christ before anything was created. II. God adopts us, forgiving us through Christ’s blood. III. God will perfect us, uniting all things under Christ.
Summary: Viewing our present position in light of our past election and our future perfection should lead us not only to duty but to doxology.
Will you resolve to live this year to the praise of God’s glory?
