Jeremiah: A Demanding Love
Led by Dave McDonald and Rev. Paul E. Toms
The book of Jeremiah shows how sin can affect people, a community and even a nation. As we study and take time to discuss selected passages together, we will also see how God faithfully and relentlessly pursues those He loves and strives to win them back at all costs. As we look at the life and ministry of Jeremiah, we will also see what it is like to have a personal relationship with God.
Jeremiah was called to take a stand for the truth in the face of great opposition. It was a difficult ministry, but God gave Jeremiah a great gift, the gift of Himself. Throughout the book of Jeremiah, we will see a message of love being proclaimed that grows from a relationship of love. Though it is a demanding love, it is a love that endures and transforms hearts.
Please join us as we study together the life and the message of Jeremiah and seek to grow in our own personal relationships with God.
James - Faith and Works
Led by Larry Gould
Rev. Billy Graham said: "If you were accused of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?"Â
James, the consummate Jew, knew that God's chosen people are called to be set apart, "Holy," from the godless nations (Leviticus 19 - 20: 26 "You shall be holy to me, for I the LORD am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine").
James’ emphasis is on a "Living, Working Faith" evident by righteous living that gives glory to God and is seen by the unbelieving world around us. We'll see how James applies the lessons learned from an actual lifetime spent with Jesus.
