Exploring Early Christianity: the Desert Fathers and Mothers

When we look for role models and heroes of the Christian faith, we might not think to turn to the desert. In the early centuries of the church, however, the desert was full of Christian saints – women and men who dedicated their lives to God and served as role models for other believers. These desert-dwellers drew people to Christ and shaped the church for years to come.
