First Thursday: Looking Homeward

Did you know you can buy a casket at Walmart? But that you don't need a casket? That your "When I Die" file should include not just passwords but also letters to people you love? Death and dying are not subjects that many people are comfortable talking about, but it’s vitally important to be as prepared as possible – financially, physically, practically, emotionally, and spiritually. Need tips on planning your funeral, writing a Living Will (or not!), and preventing arguments among heirs?

At November's First Thursday, Keith Fink along with Paul and Susan Toms will discuss preparations involving personal property, physical remains, funeral/memorial service, and the soul in relationship with God and others. Resources will be available to borrow or download.

First Thursday meets in the Chapel for lunch, but the program on November 3 will be held in the sanctuary.
