About the Event

You are invited to the May edition of First Thursday on May 2 at 11:45 am in Fellowship Hall. The spring lunch will be followed by a special program at 1 pm featuring the documentary film Steve Saint: The Jungle Missionary

Do you recall the story of the five missionaries who were killed in 1956 by natives in the jungles of South America while attempting to share the Gospel with them? Steve is the son of Nate Saint, the “jungle pilot,” one of those killed by the Waorani Indians (Aucas) in 1956. In the film Steve recalls life in the jungles of Ecuador, the events surrounding the death of his father, his family’s life and work among the Waorani people, and how God has worked among the Waorani people since then. This inspiring testimony, combined with photographs and rare film footage, is both moving and challenging. It is a captivating true story of forgiveness, Christian love and missionary devotion to God’s call that you do not want to miss!

Everyone is welcome, but please sign up so we can prepare adequately!
