About the Event

The Call: The leaders of our own denomination (EPC), along with the leaders of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA) have called for believers to “set aside Good Friday, April 10, as a day of prayer and fasting to cry out for God’s help in addition to a day of worship.” This is a significant action.

How you can participate? Obviously, you can choose to personally respond to the call of these denominations through prayer, fasting, and worship at any time during that day. However out of a desire to respond corporately as a local fellowship of believers, the leaders of our congregation are calling on the people of Great Valley to participate in a prayer vigil from 7am-7pm on Good Friday.

The sign up:  We have broken this time period up into 15-minute time slots. We ask that you consider signing up to pray during one or more of those slots. Someone will commit to pray during any slots not taken as a way to ensure that we offer up 12 hours of prayer.

Resources: The denomination has provided some excellent resources which you may want to read in advance and utilize during your time of prayer.
