The Women's Retreat is back in full swing and is being planned for Saturday, May 7, 2022 at The Traber Center in Spring City. Please plan to join us!

About the Event
Location: This year we return to the beautiful Traber Center facilities at Camp Sankanac in Spring City, PA. The Traber Center is located near the intersection of Routes 100 & 23 and the address is 10 Traber Lane, Spring City, PA 19475
Timing: Our retreat begins at 9:00am. Registration will be open at 8:30am. We will wrap up by 7:00pm following a final session after dinner. The day includes an early lunch/brunch, dinner, three speaker sessions, small group time, fellowship and some optional outdoor exploration if we have nice weather.
Cost: $65* Full payment is due when you register (non-refundable). Pay online or leave a check made out to GVPC with Women’s Retreat in the memo line in the offering plate at church. Financial assistance is available ; contact the church office if needed.
Registration: GVPC Website use register now button. Deadline to sign up is April 27. You will receive a confirmation email with directions and other pertinent information by Wednesday, May 4th.

Our Speakers: Nancy Van Antwerp and Katie Balsley (mother/daughter team) from Somerset, PA. Nancy is wife to Ken, mom to 3, and Grandma to 4. Upon graduating from college, Nancy worked with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. For the last 30 years, Nancy has taught a weekly Women’s Bible Study and yearly teaches adult Sunday School classes. Nancy’s favorite pastimes include drinking hot cups of tea and reading lots of books. Katie is Nancy’s middle daughter. She is married to Mikel and is the mother of Scotty (5) and Tyler (3). She inherited her mother’s passion for the Scriptures and loves to share Jesus with other women. Katie likes to spend her free time speaking, writing, and teaching God’s Word. She writes occasionally on her personal blog: encouragemyhope.com.
What to bring: a Bible, a pen, sweater or jacket, a door prize (small gift for exchanging, if you wish) and wear
comfortable, casual clothing for the day. There is an optional walk in the afternoon if weather permits.
