Journeying Home
Keith Fink preaches on the Psalms of Ascent.
The Psalms of Ascent are a grouping of psalms bearing this name of “ascent” - we can’t say for sure, but the most likely option is that these psalms were meant to be sung by pilgrims coming from a long way off to Jerusalem for a great festival of worship - they were on their way to the temple to meet with the people of God as they worshipped the one true God. In Peter’s letter, we as God’s people are called pilgrims or sojourners, or strangers in this world - the idea is that we are a people on our way home to be with God - this fallen world is not our true home. We may be journeying toward home but we need help along the way - the Psalms of Ascent can be that for us.

And Can It Be
Keith Fink preaches on Romans 8.
“And Can It Be” is the question the famous Wesley hymn asks as it considers the gospel. We desperately need to fan into flame our own wonder at what God has done for us and Romans 8 does this very thing. Give your ear to the text of Romans 8 and be prepared to marvel at the gospel!
