Keith Fink
Senior Pastor
Keith has been the in the pastorate for over 30 years. He came to Great Valley in 2016 from Somerset, PA where he served as Senior Pastor at St. Paul's. Keith's love for our Lord, His Word, and His people are evident through his sincere desire to faithfully proclaim God's Word with passion. It is Keith's personal prayer "to be used by God to equip and encourage God's people to live into the purpose for which our Lord has made them." Keith graduated from Wheaton College with a BS degree in biology and has received his Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry degrees from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Paul Reader
Director of Ministries
Paul Reader is from the great state of South Carolina, studying at Clemson University (Go Tigers!), before making his way up to PA to study at Westminster Seminary (MDiv 2008). There he met his amazing wife, Sonja (Smoker) Reader, thanks to Great Valley Presbyterian, who had encouraged and enabled her to study at Westminster as well. Paul has served in various congregations in PA and SC, and enjoys his family, teaching the Bible, repairing Macs, and growing succulents. Paul can be reached at preader@gvpres.org or at 610-644-1995.
Chris Starr
Director of Worship and Communications
Chris joined the staff of Great Valley as the Director of Music Ministry in 2010 and has since taken on additional roles in church communications. He and his wife Vicky and their children, Aria and Joel, live in Royersford. Chris earned a Bachelor of Music with a vocal performance emphasis from Susquehanna University. While at Susquehanna, Chris and Vicky led the children’s choir at St. Paul’s Church and Chris also directed the Handbell choir. Before coming to Great Valley, Chris studied choral conducting and earned a Master of Arts in Music at Mansfield University. Lisa Sybrandt
Director of Preschool in the Valley
Lisa has been a member of GVPC for over 20 years. She is also a member of the church choir and helps with Sunday School. After a sixteen year career as a teacher at Preschool in the Valley, in 2022 Lisa took on the role of Preschool Director. Lisa has a BS Degree from Penn State in Human Development and Family Studies. She is married to Larry and they have three adult children, Justin, Jennifer and Joseph. Lisa can be reached at gvpcpreschool@comcast.net.
Brian Hilton
Director of Youth
Brian attended Great Valley's youth group during his middle school and high school years before joining as a volunteer leader in 2013. In 2017, Brian earned a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Brian works full time as an Associate Product Marketing Specialist for Cantaloupe, Inc in Malvern. Prior to this, he worked in marketing with Fiserv and NBC Sports Philadelphia. He is an avid Philadelphia sports fan who enjoys not-so-quietly addressing the fact that Chris White is a Cowboys fan. Sharon Smoker
Organist
Sharon Smoker earned a bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Wheaton College. Since then Sharon has served the Lord through music in a number of church locations. Upon moving to Pennsylvania, Sharon joined Great Valley’s staff as the church organist in 2000. Sharon plays for worship services and special events throughout the year, and is actively involved in the ministries of Great Valley Presbyterian Church. When she is not teaching piano or practicing the organ, Sharon can be found pursuing her favorite sports including pickleball. Sharon and her late husband Steve have four adult children and ten grandchildren whom she enjoys visiting frequently. Sharon can be reached at office@gvpres.org or at 610-644-1995.
Chris White
Facilities Supervisor
Chris joined the Great Valley Staff as Facilities Supervisor in 2013 after a 21 year career in human services at Melmark. He is President of Forefront Business Services LLC, Executive Director of Future Leaders Today (serving at-risk high schoolers) and a Penn State adjunct business professor. He also serves on several boards and community organizations in the Phoenixville area. Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Delaware, a Master's of Clinical Psychology from West Chester University and an MBA from Regis University. He and his wife Linda have been blessed with 3 children: Christian, Lindsay and Josh. Chris enjoys teaching Sunday School and quietly cheering on his Dallas Cowboys, and is an avid bass fisherman.
